Communications program is a computer program that imparts information to and from other
computers. Public communication programs are of great significance in various aspects of public
education as they help us know the various things taking place in various places; it helps in
passing of knowledge from one person to another. Communication takes place through various
channels for example light and even radio.
Public communication process refers to the passage of a message among or between people.
There are various ways of conveying this information: through verbal communication, through
writing, through gestures and through observation of behavior. The following are the elements of
public communication process: the sender, the receiver, the message, the channel, the context,
noise and feedback. For effective and efficient communication to go through then it is necessary
that the receiver fully comprehends the information from the sender. The sender who is also
referred to as the communicator or source is the person from whom the message originally
comes from while a person or people receiving the information are called the audience or
receiver.
A communication system is a method of passing data from the sender to the receiver. It involves
communication, transmission, relay, tribulation and use of data terminal. Communication system
facilitates the passage of data and information among people. The flow of information from the
sender to the receiver takes place due to a communication system. There are various types of
communication systems that aid in efficient flow of information between or among people, these
communication systems include: Optical communication system which relies on light as a means
of communication, radio communication system which relies on radio for communication,
duplex communications systems-here more than one equipment specifically two can pass
information to each other in both directions at the same time, Half duplex communication

system-here the two equipment can’t pass information at the same time hence one has to stop
first for the other to send and lastly tactical communication system where we find that passage of
information varies depending on the conditions of the environment and other situations.

There have been various efforts to enhance public communication for the purpose of public
education. This is to facilitate faster communication, efficient and effective communication and
