Can someone explain to me the rules for logrithmic functions so I can solve them. I can't seem to understand how the rules work when I try to solve for x.
log (xy) =log x+ log y
Example : log 6 = log (3*2) = log 3 + log 2
log (x/y) = log x- log y
log (3/2) = log 3 - log 2
log (x^p) = p * log x
log (3^2) = 2 log 3
log 1 =0
log (1/x) = -log x
log (1/2) = -log 2
log 3 4 = log 4/log 3
