President Barack Obama in 2010. The law's objective was to expand and improve health
insurance coverage to all United States citizens and reduce the cost of health services (Ye &
Rodriguez, 2021). The law was projected to enhance access to healthcare and lower the price.
Since the introduction of the direction, it has experienced various legal challenges, and most
Americans believe that it will be further challenged in the future. The nation uses private and
public insurance; the public system includes Medicaid, which is involved with people living
with disabilities and low-income individuals. The other public system is Medicare for
individuals aged 65 or older, patients with kidney diseases, or specific disabilities (Ye &
Rodriguez, 2021). Around 48 percent of Americans are registered in the private insurance
system through their jobs. The other insured citizens either receive the insurance through
various public systems or purchase from the individual market or private insurance. Medicaid
also covers different individuals, such as the uninsured expectant mothers and temporarily
unemployed workers. The Medicaid system reimbursed healthcare for all medical expenses
intending to improve service delivery to all citizens.

or receive cancer screening early before they become sick. It has reduced the number of
patients admitted to the emergency rooms and fewer deaths. Since the Affordable Care Act's

cost charged for each service. The demand of the nurse's role and responsibility is also
affected, more pressure on nurses to prove that they can offer adequate care. The nurses are
