Each student learns in a unique way and this activity will help you to determine how you might learn best and how to apply this to your writing.
Earlier in this module, you completed the “Learning Style Inventory” to identify your learning style. Take a moment to consider what the inventory has shown.
After examining the inventory results, use what you have learned about the writing process in the module reading, and compose your initial thoughts about the Inventory results. Remember, concrete or spatial learners might consider using an outline. Creative learners might opt for a less structured approach.
Based on the above analysis, respond to the following:
- In your own words, summarize which type of learner the “Learning Style Inventory” labeled you.
- Using examples, explain whether you agree with the results.
- Explain how you can apply what you have learned about your particular learning style to your reading and writing.
- How will you apply what you have learned about your learning style to reading and writing in other areas of your studies and life in general?
- Are there reading and writing techniques not associated with your identified learning style that would be beneficial to you anyway? Explain.
With your prewriting finished, below that, in the same document, develop a 1–2-page essay answering the questions above. Your final document should consist of any prewriting material you may have such as notes, journals, planning, etc., and your 1–2-page essay. Apply APA standards to citation of sources. Use the following file naming convention: LastnameFirstInitial_M2_A2.doc.
By Week 2, Day 7, deliver your assignment to the M2: Assignment 2 Dropbox.
Note: Your paper will be evaluated according to the rubric. Study the rubric carefully before you start working and refer to it periodically to improve your paper.
