Introduction
One can’t lead without getting followers to understand the prospects and agenda that the
individual intends to get performed. Motivation is the driving factor behind the actions of
employees towards the goals of the organization. The leader must, therefore, motivate the
workers to behave in a particular manner, so as to yield success. Before a leader drives his or her
workers, he or she must take time and understand to know the types of motivations which work
for the employees.
Workplace motivation can get explained through various theories and the report
acknowledges that no single theory can entirely determine the motivational factors that drive the
workers towards succeeding. The report found that Maslow’s Needs hierarchy, Herzberg’s twofactor theory, McClelland’s motivation theory apart from Alderfer’s ERG theory. The report
reveals that any of the theories can explain the workplace motivation. Particularly, the article
