Chinatown in New York City Manhattan is a place that many may enjoy because of its

culture and entertainment, Chinatown is the best place to visit as this will give them a variety of
things to do. There are many chinses food in Chinatown from the very many restaurants that
have been established. There are many clothes and fashion in general for those with the heart
towards Chinese fashion that they can take home as gifts for their loved ones. One can also visit
Chinatown to see the culture of the Chinese people as there are several; shops with different
artifacts that brings out the Chinese culture.
Demographic Information and Language of Chinatown Residents
Chinatown in Manhattan is boarded by the 14th street to the north side and the east river
which is on its east side while the bowery is to the west and the Brooklyn beach is on the
southern side of Chinatown. This was an area that was occupied by the oldest and the poorest
residents because of the immigrants who came and settled in this region of Manhattan. The
immigrants settled in this are for more than a decade because they were in search for a life that
was more favorable. There are now working class people in the area who are able to earn income
and there is also diversity within people because of the people who are born in Chinatown or
born in another region and moved to the area. There is still a very big gap between the lower
class and the high class and this has been encouraged by the rich moving to the east village
where they are not able to interact with the lower class.
