Question: From an industry based view, why does Microsoft feel threatened by Linux in
China and globally?
From an industry view, China is one of the country's any company would run to
venture. It has the highest population in the world. The Chinese market has a population of
more than 1.3 billion people. The large population is likely to broaden the market for any
company and so for Microsoft (Peng, 2013). In my view, Microsoft Company is concerned
about the opportunities available in China due to this large market. Linux possesses threats
for Microsoft to leap this benefit. Being a rival in the industry, Microsoft must be concerned
