Problem and solution
Last month, world health organization announced that diabetes patient have more than
four hundred million in global. Eating unhealthily is one of the main reason lead to the disease
and carbohydrate compounds is why people become unhealthy. Diabetes is a disease in which
your blood glucose, or blood sugar, levels are too high. Glucose comes from the foods people
eat. Insulin is a hormone that helps the glucose get into their cells to give them energy.
Carbohydrate compound is one of the main reason leads to high blood glucose and blood sugar,
also it is the main source of energy required for all living organisms to sustain life activities and
it is what people usually called sugar (Lawler, 2014).
Sugar has replaced other compounds that people have to shun if they want to be healthy
and avoid death, apparently. But since it is yummy and tasty, people can hardly live without it.
People have all kinds of drinks and desert, and it is so wonderful and amazing to drink some
soda and eat some cake for snack. Who will give it up? United States is one of the countries that
requires large amount of sugar everyday has people have sugar addiction which also might be
called “ country that bury under sugar”. Sugar become the most main reason to have diabetes.
According to research more than one-third of Americans are currently obese, including
17 percent of children. Back to 1882 the average American consumed 45g of sugar, the amount
found in one of today’s 12-ounce sodas, every 5 days. In 2012 they consumed 765g of sugar
every 5 days (Walton, 2012). All these numbers are very scary but when people eating it they
won’t realized how much sugar they having
The usage of sugar in adults as well as children has been determined to be a risk factor
for diabetes. There is a condition that is referred to as Prediabetes. This is where an individual is
diagnosed to be on the way of becoming fully diabetic. Usually, this is related to sugar
consumption by the individual among other factors. As noted by many nutritionists, many people
are taking in too much sugar in comparison to what they actually need in their bodies (Medline
Plus). There are further statistics that indicated Americans consume an average of 85grams of
sugar in a day (Elnahar, 2013). According to the set guidelines by U.S. Department of
