The line passes through the point (-8,4).I presume this is the point.The slope,m = -54.

Use the formula y = mx + c

We know m, and the point (-8,4) ,with this information on hand,determine the value of c.This is how it is done.

Plug in x= -8,y=4 and m = -54 in the above formula.

4 = (-54) * (-8) + c.therefore,

4=432 + c.

c = 4-432 = -428

The equation is y = -54x -428.
