Diversity, Inclusion and Culture
Diversity is defined as a large number of the differences between individuals working in
an organization; Inclusion also refers to the culture in which a mixture of different types of
people can work together, feel confident and comfortable with themselves and ensure that they
fulfill the needs of the business (Stanford, 2020). Inclusion in a workplace always ensures that
every worker feels valued and significantly adds value to the organization. At the same time,
culture in a workplace means the belief systems, shared values, attitudes at work, and a
collection of assumptions that different people share in a workplace. In a situation where the
workplace culture is positive, it tends to improve teamwork, increase the morale of the
employees, raise productivity and efficiency, and enhance workforce retention.
