i) Global Moran's I theorem is a spatial autocorrelation tool that is used in statistics and
statistical analysis of data. Like other statistical test tools, Global Moran's I uses the null
hypothesis to carry on its calculations. The tool evaluates spatial autocorrelation grounded on a
given set of features/characteristic locations and their feature values at the same time. It is mainly
used to evaluate whether a pattern given by a set of characteristic and their related attribute is
random, clustered or dispersed. The data to be operated on is fed into a computer and then the
tool is run and allowed to do calculations. The formula produces the following variable results at
the end of the evaluation process;
a) Moran’s I index value.
b) Z-score.
c) Expected value.
d) P-value.
