Would you like information about how to format in APA? Click here.
  • Papers should be spell-checked and submitted to Grammarly prior to submitting your paper to the drop box. "Grammarly" is a free service for Rasmussen students. Once you've made all of your suggested grammar corrections, submit your paper to the Drop Box, along with your Grammarly PDF report as a separate attachment. Your goal is to obtain a Grammarly score of 90 - 100%.

Part 2

For this part of the Course Project, you will put together a Quality Plan. In order to provide the highest quality experience possible, attendees of the event were surveyed to determine what was most important to them when attending such an event. The result of this survey is listed below:

- 90% of those completing the survey felt that having engaging and dynamic speakers is key to a successful event
- 90% felt that it was important that the accommodations were physically located where the convention is being held; they didn't want to have to take a bus or a shuttle from their hotel to the convention.

- Based on your knowledge of the activity analyze the severity of the impact on the project if the activity failed to produce a quality result as Low, Medium, or High
- Also based on your knowledge of the activity analyze the probability of the poor quality result occurring as Low, Medium, or High
- For the three activities that were evaluated as having the most severe quality consequences AND having the highest impact generate an action plan to reduce or eliminate these failures from occurring
  • In a paper that is a minimum of 2 pages long, clearly and concisely summarize the action items identified through the FMEA that will increase the probability of your project being considered a success with your customers.
  • Your submission should follow the essentials of APA (i.e., cover page, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, reference section at the end, in-text citations, etc.).

Running head: COURSE PROJECT 1 Course Project Martha Negron Rasmussen College Author Note This paper is being submitted on April 7, 2017, for Lou Ann McElyea’s B279 Introduction to Functional and Project Management course. COURSE PROJECT 2 Planning and Organizing National Conference Project A project refers to the planned and group of tasks that are related in a way that their execution is dictated over a period. A successful project should have a budget that is well constructed with a team of experts who should ensure that it is less expensive but facilitates the process of achieving the intended purpose. This essay is addressing the proposed construction of community library in the outskirts of Washington DC for the less privileged members in the community. To discuss the essentials of this proposed project, the company must convene at the Trumps Tower for two days to discuss way forward. Logic behind convection of the company at Trump Towers Trump Towers is the most popular conference centers that will attract a lot of investors from all angles of politics, academia, non-governmental organizations, the business community and other philanthropists who have the will of giving back to the society. This location is easily accessible because of well-built infrastructure and other forms of communication channels in the capital city of America. The network coverage is very fast hence all means of communication will be well coordinated without hiccups or disparities. Exchange of ideas through the digital platforms will be very swift. Trump Towers conference rooms are spacious enough to accommodate majority of company stakeholders from within and outside the company’s organizational structure. This venue has capacity of over two hundred participants hence chances of reaping more from this conference with intention of building the community library are very high. There is enough space for all forms of social interactions with enough recreational facilities such as swimming pools and silent places for participants who might want to seek solace. The location of this COURSE PROJECT 3 conference room is well equipped with the state of art equipment’s such as high definition screens and high tech but wireless microphones for clear presentation of concepts. The conference room is furnished with seats that are very comfortable to use hence chances of back pains are very minimal. The state of the art equipment’s is very much reliable because there are always stand-by technicians to address the situation in case of technical hitches that may arise. The decoration of Trump Towers conference room is very appealing as it gives an inviting touch. The colors and other artistic paintings will motivate people to be present throughout the entire period. The staff is intelligent and emotionally fit to handle any form of mental incapacitations which may occur during actual conference sessions. They are very entertaining and customer friendly. Service fee is very economical and can easily be managed by the company that is organizing and sponsoring the conference. The hospitality staff is outstanding with its range of indomitable human care services in the entire world. The quality of food is very outstanding and can accommodate anyone’s and everyone’s choice. Meals are served at times of convenience but not on the time schedules of the hotel management team. There is always last minute attendance without any complaints from the staff. Security is the well-attended to because of the presence of CCTV cameras that are installed everywhere. The intelligence security system automatically reports any suspected cases of theft to the security officers who act quickly to rectify the situation. There is commendable service delivery from those who once held their project implementation conferences in this place. Therefore, because of the above appealing and attractive factors, Trump Towers conference room is the best location for this library community project conference. COURSE PROJECT 4 The project This is a multifaceted program that will entail a range of activities to be done in chronological order for better and streamlined realization of the set goals. First and foremost, there must be an assessment of the environmental impact assessment exercise from the quality assurance officers from protection agency. This assessment is very profound in trying to determine the impacts of the proposed project to both flora and fauna. There will also be an environmental audit assessment to gauge the cost that will be associated with the implementation of this project. This is a cardinal move in complying with the policies, laws and regulations of the department of housing and environment on matters of project executions. Another important work of concern is formulation of the budget by a team of experts who are incorporated in the project management strategists. The budget will aid in the determining of all costs associated with the entire project process. The budget will include expenses of materials, personnel, consultation fees, the workers and the miscellaneous costs. It will be constructed in regard with the principle of sustainable development (the use of current resources without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs). After the budget is adopted by the project managers, the renowned architect will make an artistic impression (plan) of the community library design. The pictorial representation of the building will be under scrutiny of external architects to determine any flaws in the plan. Once it is fully adopted by the relevant stakeholders, the next will work will commence as explained in the next paragraph below. The final work will be during the real execution phase of erecting the structure as it will be done by the contractor and the civil engineers (Cameron, 1985). The electrical engineers will COURSE PROJECT 5 be doing electricity installations in all rooms of the building. This is likely to take some time because of the adherence to the stipulations of the quality assurance stakeholders. Professionals who will handle the entire project Because of the nature of this multifaceted job, the following internal and external professionals will oversee various departments: civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, project planners and managers, architects, Environmental Impact Assessment officers, Environmental Audit assessors, resource mobilization team and various supervisors under different sectors of specialization. Because of the nature of this work, this project proposed timeline is two years. Resources required There are three essential resources in this project. The top on agenda are people who will aid in the actual process of implementing the project. Both personnel and material items are very crucial in ensuring that the project being undertaken is achieved. Another resource of great concern is material goods. All construction materials as described by engineers will be availed at the construction site. Professionals will be hired from various spheres of specialization to aid in the process of executing this project. The third resource on the list is capital. Money will be generated through fund drives, taking of a loan from financial institutions and writing proposals seeking for grants from well-wishers and people with passion in impacting positively to the community. COURSE PROJECT 6 Legal and ethical issues The process of selecting the location of the conference will be free and fair enough without any form of political interference to avoid complaints from the public due to irregularities that may arise. It should be located away from the exact place of project location to avoid disturbances from people who may have other hidden motives for personal gains. The department of construction should be officially informed to keep away gatecrashers who may cause unnecessary presence in the conference. The company will submit proposals early enough for necessary preparations prior to the meeting. The process of conference convention will be determined by factors such as skills, trainings, and business ethics among others. Conclusion Project planning conferences serve important roles in ensuring that what is proposed is achieved within the set limits. Project business conventions offer one of the best opportunities of being introduced to various experts in the business industry. It will enable one to learn new things and enhance the process of networking with people within one’s field of specialization. It gives opportunities for one to appreciate technological changes that are relevant in the business environment hence serving a very crucial role for successful project managers (Ballou, 1983).
