CS 405 SNHU Secure Coding Numeric Overflows Computer Coding Task
OverviewYou are a senior software developer on a team of software developers who are responsible for a large banking application. Your manager has learned that the code used for addition and subtraction over a series of steps will sometimes calculate incorrect results. The other developers have spent a lot of time tracing down the issue, and they narrowed it down to two functions: add_numbers() and subtract_numbers(). Following some guidance from an older testing guide, they isolated those functions in a standalone set of test cases. Doing this allows them to reliably show how to trigger an underflow or overflow. However, they don’t know what to do to prevent it from occurring in the future. They came to you for help. You will learn to do the following:Detect when a numeric overflow or underflow is about to happenWrite code to prevent the numeric overflow or underflow from happeningProtect your code from underflow and overflow in any of the standard C/C++ data typesPromptThis assignment presents code that is designed to show the two functions operating with and without overflow or underflows. Using the existing source code, you will add logic to the add_numbers() and subtract_numbers() functions to detect, prevent, and notify the caller of a numeric overflow. You will also modify the calling test_overflow and test_underflow functions to be notified of success or failure of the add or subtract functions they call, and to modify them, the functions write to the console with overflow status (true or false) and the numeric result of the function. The following are a few key notes:The source code has been commented with TODOs to explain the detailed rules you must follow. There are comments that mark code that must be changed. There may be more than one way to solve this problem, so be sure to demonstrate that you can detect an underflow or overflow, prevent it, and communicate it back to the calling function.Remember to leverage capabilities provided by the standard C++ library to help you achieve success. Please comment on any changes you make in the code to explain the logic, formulas, or data types you are adding. You will also create a brief written summary of the approach taken. It should explain how this approach is designed to stop the overflow or underflow, any issues you encountered, and how you resolved those issues.Specifically, you will prepare the following:Numeric overflow and underflow secure codingC/C++ program functionality and best practicesA summary of your process in a Word document that contains a screenshot of the application console outputTo complete this assignment, download the Numeric Overflow source code to use as guidance as you move through the activity. You will use your development environment to complete this activity.Guidelines for SubmissionSubmit the modified source code as a ZIP file. Also include a Word document that contains a complete screenshot of the application console output and a brief summary of your process.

WRTG 112 UMGC Nature of The Digital Evidence Research Paper
Thesis: In the new era of cyber-law it is difficult to enforce due to criminal proximity, ease of anonymity, and the nature of the digital evidence.
Task: Write a research paper using evidence to support a thesis that addresses your research question examining a current issue or event in the news from the perspective of your field of study. The audience is people who are generally educated but do not have extensive knowledge of your field or topic.
Outcomes you should achieve by completing this assignment
The outcomes for this assignment are listed below, with the associated course outcomes in parentheses:
Use research to write a paper that will inform or persuade an audience (Course outcome 1)
Form unified, coherent, and well-supported paragraphs in support of the thesis statement (Course outcome 2)
Select sources, use them to inform and support your writing, and document them in APA style (Course outcome 4)
Demonstrate accurate grammar and mechanics in writing (Course outcome 3)
Participate in the process of receiving feedback and revising your writing (Course outcome 1)
Topic
This paper is the culmination of your research project, in which you are examining a current issue or event in the news from the perspective of your field of study. Before drafting your paper, you will have chosen a topic, developed a research question, and identified several potential sources in an annotated bibliography. You should write on the same topic for this paper, unless your professor has asked you to make changes to your topic.
Organizing and supporting your paper
As you write your paper, be sure to include the following:
an engaging introductory paragraph that includes an effective and clear thesis statement
any definition of terms or background information that your reader is likely to need to understand your paper
focused body paragraphs that begin with topic sentences and use effective transitions. This is where you will support the thesis using arguments and evidence.
a concluding paragraph that reiterates the thesis, summarizes key points of the paper, and leaves the reader with the "So what?"
Research is a key element of this paper. Take care to support your claims with research throughout the paper. Include APA in-text citations whenever you use sources, whether through quote, paraphrase, or summary. An APA reference list at the end of the paper should list all of the sources cited in the text of the paper.

NYITMC Managerial Finance Gamut Satellite Inc & Satellite Earth Stations Worksheet
Question 1
Gamut Satellite Inc. produces satellite earth stations that sell for $150,000 each. The firm’s fixed costs, F, are $1.5 million, 20 earth stations are produced and sold each year, profits total $400,000, and the firm’s assets (all equity financed) are $5 million. The firm estimates that it can change its production process, adding $10 million to assets and $500,000 to fixed operating costs. This change will reduce variable costs per unit by $5,000 and increase output by 30 units. However, the sales price on all units must be lowered to $140,000 to permit sales of the additional output. The firm has tax loss carryforwards that render its tax rate zero, its cost of equity is 18%, and it uses no debt.
a. Determine the variable cost per unit
b. Determine the new profit if the change is made
c. What is the incremental profit?
d. What is the projects expected rate of return for the next year (defined as the incremental profit divided by the investment)?
e. Should the firm make the investment? Why or why not?
f. Would the firm’s break-even point increase or decrease if it made the change?
g. Would the new situation expose the firm to more or less business risk than the old one? Show workings
Submit your answers in a Word document.
