Cloud Computing
Cloud computing is simply the storage and accessing of data in the internet rather than
storing and accessing from the hard drive (Eric, 2016). It enables many businesses to consume
space, application and compute resources such as virtual machine (VMs) rather than building and
maintaining computing infrastructures. Cloud computing has several benefits. It allows one to
pay for only the workloads and resources used by the user: it is simply a pay as you use service.
Cloud computing has self-service provisions which means that the end users can access the
workload stored in the cloud thus eliminating the need for IT administrators. With an increase in
demand a business does not have to build massive infrastructure for storage. It can easily scale
down as soon as the demand goes down and scale up as the demand goes up using cloud
computing.
