Introduction
Recruiting and choosing suitable workers in an organization or firm is one among the
important activities the organization or company has (Australian Council for Educational
Research, 2015). Small companies manufacturing products require appropriate workers to develop
new products. New products for a small developing manufacturing company help it to grow as
required. This is because new products offer stiff competition on the market in the industry
producing similar products. Hiring employees who have then necessary skill and knowledge are
the appropriate people to develop new products so as to improve the company. This paper develops
screening criteria that can be used to grade new staff in a human relations professional's point of
view. The screening measures are based on dimensions such as skills and knowledge, motivation
and persistence, creative thinking, self-confidence, willingness to work in a flexible manner,
among other extents.
