Company summaryLendingClub is a peer-to-peer marketplace where borrowers and investors are matched together. The goal of LendingClub is to reduce the costs associated with these banking transactions and make borrowing less expensive and investment more engaging. LendingClub provides data on loans that have been approved and rejected since 2007, including the assigned interest rate and type of loan. This provides several opportunities for data analysis.Calculate Summary Statistics in ExcelWe use Excel for basic validation. Remember, there is a limitation on the number of records that Excel can handle, so this is best for smaller- to medium-sized files. Excel’s toolbar at the bottom of the window provides quick access to a summary of any selected values.Open your web browser and go to: https://www.lendingclub.com/info/download-data.action (Links to an external site.).In the Download Loan Data section, choose “2015” from the drop-down list, then click Download.Locate your downloaded zip files on your computer, and extract the .csv files to a convenient location (e.g., desktop or Documents).Open the LoanStats3c.csv file in Excel.Select the [loan_amnt] column. At the bottom of the window, you will see the Average, Count, and Sum calculations, shown in LAB Exhibit 2-4A (Links to an external site.). Compare those to the validation given by LendingClub:Funded loans: $3,503,840,175Number of approved loans: 235,629Q1. Do your numbers match the numbers provided by LendingClub? What explains the discrepancy, if any?Right-click on the summary toolbar and choose Numerical Count from the list. You should now see four values in the bar.Q2. Does the Numerical Count provide a more useful/accurate value for validating your data? Why or why not do you think that is the case?Q3. What other summary values might be useful for validating your data?Required: Answer all of the questions from above and submit your Excel Data File.Your well-written paper must be 3-4 pages, in addition to title and reference pages.

PSYCH 655 University of Phoenix Week 2 Psychometrics Discussion Question

Many people have a serious phobia of math; however, there are some important math concepts that are very important to understand in relation to psychological assessments. In week 2, we review some of these concepts and explore how they relate to psychological assessments. Consider the statistical review and other math concepts discussed in your readings this week. Respond to the following questions in a substantive way integrating information from your text or other scholarly sources (please include citations and references for your work):
1. What are some statistical concepts you found to be relevant to psychological assessments? Why are they important to consider? How are they used to interpret psychological assessment data?
2. What is a major benefit of standardized scores? Are standardized scores appropriate for all types of scores? Why or why not?
3. Why is it important to evaluate the reliability and validity of a psychological test?
4. What methods do you find to be most effective in establishing reliability and validity?

In fact, it is often called the language of science. Why do you think it is called the language of science? What does it mean to be statistically literate? Why is it important to be statistically literate?2) PEER REVIEW #1 (TAMMY)In my opinion I think that statistics is called the language of science because it’s known as the science if analyzing, collecting, interpreting, and presenting data. All scientists do these steps at some time or another in their experiments, but they may not be in the same order. This basically means that statistics is made up of science. Being statistically literate means that one must be capable to read and write as citizens. This strategy helps to improve and strengthen society in which we live in. Reference:
What is statistical literacy and why is it important to be statistically literate? Retrieved from: https://www.abs.gov.au/AUSSTATS/abs@.nsf/Lookup/13... 3) PEER REVIEW #2 (MONICA)Statistical data is universally understood. A number describing the possible outcomes is the same here in the U.S. as it is in India, Australia, or anywhere. The calculations used by NASA to launch satellites and manned aircrafts is the same math used in the Russian space program. This is what it means to me when I think about statistics as the language of science. Scientists worldwide can share and translate studies when it’s based in numerical data. Science is exact, just like statistics. Languages are distinct to geographic regions and can form barriers for those who travel outside of the area where their tongue is most prevalent. This is not the case when speaking in numbers.
