Explanation & Answer
Greetings from Julie. This is my attempt on "Europe"
Europe.
Way back in time, I paused to scan the past
In Greece, cradle of these cultures diverse.
Ancient Athens' blue skies, learning of lands so vast,
In history's Romance we seem reversed.
Europe-union of towns, hamlets, cities,
Modern world so aging, but still seems young.
Rivers' depths do reflect forests pretty.
Many people's neighbours speak in own tongues.
Foods' varied tastes from Rome to Spain tastes great,
Athens of old through Rome so bold, Time's march,
Progress, Autos, smog and grime. Battles late,
London, Russia, snow to floods turn to parched.
Europe's people vivid, strong to belong
Crowds to sparse steppes, Europe's olden, My song.
(Hope it is okay. Good luck with your studies.)
