Impact of gender on a cyber security career outline
•
Cyber security professions are diverse, with numerous opportunities in banks, shops, and
government agencies.
•
You may expect to protect an organization's data and network on the job, as well as build
firewalls, establish security strategies, and monitor activities. However, women make up only
11% of the cybersecurity profession.
•
In addition, because the environment is more male-oriented, there have been several
discrimination cases inside large Cybersecurity firms.
•
Various reasons led me to pursue a career in cybersecurity as a young girl, and it has nothing
to do with the fact that I am a woman. Scholarships and incentives are available to both men
and women, and businesses are keen to recruit women in cyber security to diversify their
workforce.
•
On the last page, there is an image of a lady working as a cybersecurity specialist on the
internet.
