The Everlast Company is a leading United States manufacturer of ‘Dry Fit’ which is a
sports apparel. After the acquisition of Riddell sports company from Dallas, they have to add the
offices to the main Everlast Company WAN. They also have to move the web hosting activities of
the new company to Philadelphia because they do not want to close the Riddell sports website
because they do not have one. They wish to redesign both websites with the
www.riddellsports.com and www.Everlast.com host names. The company requires the network to
be implemented to be secure preventing access from unauthorized personnel, the website should
be seamlessly migrated to the new site with the minimal loss of service and strategies for bringing
the site back in case of failure, this all is according to specifications brought forward by the
company CEO Mr. Michael Smith.
Network diagrams of the new network design
These network diagrams will constitute all the components connected as specified by Mr.
Smith for the new network design. These network components include the servers, workstations,
routers, switches, internet connectivity among others. There are two sites and each has a
Manufacturing site and the offices in two separate building. The Philadelphia Corporate building
has four floors and Dallas has two floors

Everlast corporate intranet and outside connection to the Internet
The Everlast corporate intranet will be connected to both the sites (Philadelphia and Dallas)
as proposed. This is achieved through the provision of the virtual private network which will ensure
a safe transfer of data. Rather than the Dallas site having to make a long range calls to the
Philadelphia servers or by the use of subcontracted network access server (NAS), they can call to
the local Internet Service Provider. By means of the prior established connection to the local
Internet Service Provider, the Dallas site users will start a Virtual Private Network connection
through the Internet to the Philadelphia’s VPN server. After the VPN connection is established,
the Dallas site personnel can use the data and information of the private company intranet.
The outside connection to the internet will be achieved through the use of a gateway, like
a router which will enable accessibility of the internet from the company servers. It will be used

to determine the best way which the packets will be transferred to their destination through the
internet.
Virtualized server environment and cloud-based solutions
The server environment is virtualized through concealing the server resources which
constitute of the identity and the number of each distinct physical servers, operating systems, and
the processors among other components from the users of the server. We will make use of software
application for the division of the physical server into numerous remote virtual environments/
virtual private servers.
In order for the Everlast corporate to leverage their business with cloud-based solutions,
they need to budget the cloud-based services carefully to ensure that they will keep up with the
growing market, introduce new functionalities in the business LAN, boost the accessibility of their
services, network with other businesses and create a disaster plan for the cloud-based solution they
choose.
Storage utilization and the overall current state of the storage hardware platform.
The storage utilization will be improved through stopping the use of the direct-attached
storage (DAS) and starting to use the storage area network (SAN) setting, extra improvements can
be done through doing a program on companywide storage recovery which is focused on reusing
as well as recovering the storage space which is already assigned but is not in use. This will be
done through ascertaining the storage management lifecycle which will assist to identify unused
storage, generating metrics for recognizing assigned but still idle storage, changing the worker
conduct for the sake of identification and recovery of the unused storage and lastly through trailing
the accomplishment of the storage recovery exertion.
IP addressing plan.
The IP addressing plan will display how the Internet Protocol addresses will be dispersed
amongst the devices available in the network established on the topology or network architecture
in a manner that support the obligatory services.
