In as much as it is a good idea to have the parents talk to their children about sex, there are some who believe that this should not be allowed. The idea behind this ideology is that when the child is predisposed to information about sex, a stage is being set for them actually to engage in sexual activity. It can be conceded that since children are a curious lot, they might try to engage in sexual activity to experiment on what they have been taught. However, this is not a conclusive notion. In as much as children have been known to be curious, it is much worse not having them know basic facts about sex which would help them protect themselves when they are not around their guardians.
