A ray of light strikes a slab of glass (n=1.55) at an angle of incidence of 35 degrees.  Find the angle of refraction in the glass.

Snell's Law:
ni*sinӨi = nr*sineӨr
i  = incidence
r = refraction
Ө = angle

ni = 1.00 (air)
nr = 1.55 (glass)
Өi = 35 degrees

1.00*sin(35) = 1.55*sinӨ
DIVIDE both sides by 1.55
0.370 = sinӨ
INVERSE (arcsin) both sides to find Ө
arcsin(0.370) = Ө
Ө = 21.72 degrees.
