y = 7x -8


Next, to write the line parallel to the line which you have provided, plese note that we have to use the slope M' = -1/7, since parallel lines have the same slope. So using again your numerical data, I can write:

y - 6= (-1/7) ( x - 2)

and after a simplification, I get:

x+ 7y -44 =0
