Introduction
In the cold climates, the different seasons with extreme temperature deviations always have an
effect on the roads. Just before winter, water percolates through the soils and during winter, the
soils freeze up damaging the road in what is known as frost action. Frost action has proved to be
an occurrence that damages roads through potholes, heaving, cracks and dislocation of post
