There are many benefits that one can reap from having an open-minded approach when engaging in a conversation or any form of deliberations. Apart from winning the confidence and the respect of the others, an open-minded approach also highlights the basis of making prudent decisions. At any rate, wrong judgments passed to persons during communication can lead to bad information reception and interpretation. One of the known barriers of communication is stereotyping an individual by creating an assumption about them even before the communication process starts. Additionally, in conversations the focus should be given on the evidence and information being shared, rather than the person sharing the information. Significantly, one characteristic of a good decision maker is one that puts into consideration the opinions of others; hence, the decision maker should also be a good communicator in which intensive information can be shared. (Hargie, 2017) The laws of America, provides for the freedom of worship and religion. Considerably, the issue of one's religion should remain a personal choice and should not be a basis for discrimination or stereotyping (Eck, 2002). Conclusively, religious choices of an individual should be left personal and no law should be put in place to curtail the religions of others.
