Hand/Eye Coordination Exercises
Question 1
The two students were able to point the nose, my left leg, right ear, left shoulder,
and left knee. It was challenging for both the children to resolve the last task at this first
stage. Eye coordination was not effective in this task and it was challenging to use an
image of a mirror as a guidance in tying a bow around the neck
Question 2
The children were able to write number 18 well. Every child was able to write the
word BOOM and appeared on the reflection of the mirror as needed. Similarly, both
were able to write their respective names in an efficient manner. It was pretty amazing
that these first tasks in this second stage were accomplished quickly by both of the
students. Drawing a circle, triangle and a star was done at low pace although both of
them managed to produce the required results with the 10 year old child completing
then tasks earlier than the 6 year old child. It required a demonstration for both children
in tracing numbers 5 and 8 as well as a simple maze. After the demonstration however,
the 6 year could only manage to do the number 5 while the 10 year student was able to
complete the tasks.
Question 3
For both the 6 year and the 10 year boys, it was challenging to learn how to use
the reflection of the mirror as it was required. So, they were to be shown how use the
reflection by demonstrating several examples. Once they understood how it was
required, they were able to handle exercise instructions that involved mirror reflections.
