Description
As we have learned, there are two different courts systems for the handling of juvenile and adult cases. In some cases juveniles can be charged and tried as adults. This has been an extremely controversial and continuously changing subject.
Your individual work this week is to complete the following:
- Explain why and when juveniles might be tried as adults.
- Provide an example of a juvenile case where an adolescent was tried as an adult and determine if the typical court room rules differ in any way in this case.
Using a word processing program, prepare a document that follows APA guidelines and includes:
- A paper 1-2 pages in length, double-spaced.
You may use your text or the Internet as a reference, but remember to cite your sources according to APA guidelines.
Your response must be thought provoking, have well-developed ideas and/or opinions, and should reference any supporting material from the text, lecture, or other sources you have used to complete the assignment.
For citation guidelines, please refer to the table in the APA Style section of the syllabus.
