Q1. How Nelson Mandela used his education to help his people.
Nelson Mandela used his training and knowledge to educate his people important issues
pertaining human life that helped them to live peacefully, shun apartheism and focus on the
development of their country. He taught the South African men that each of them had two
obligations. (1) Family i.e. parents, children and wife responsibilities and (2) Community
obligations i.e. responsibilities for his people. This helped the South Africans to join the fight for
freedom from the oppressors in order to exercise their obligations freely in their own country.
Mandela campaigned and fought for justice for his people during his studies. As an informed law
student he was involved in protest boycott and he was against the apartheid laws used to govern
his people. Out of his wisdom and education, Mandela joined one of the freedom fighter groups,
African National Congress where he used it to advance his campaigns on justice for his people.
