Victor Hugo is one of the famous authors of Les Miserables and the Hunchback
of Notre-Dame. He was fighting for universal suffrage, free education, and an end
to the death penalty. But in the time of Napoleon III, Hugo was exiled. During the
siege of the 1870s, he was trapped in Paris and his life was begun miserable. He and
