The general purpose of a case study research is to describe an individual situation (case), identify the key issues of the case (your assignment question should tell you what to focus on), analyze the case using relevant theoretical concepts from a health perspective, and recommend a course of action for that particular case. You will analyze two Case Studies throughout the duration of this course. For each case study, you will be asked to answer specific questions based on the content of the current, drug-related issue video/article/scenario provided. The purpose of these reports is to give you a chance to work out your own view about the issues raised by each case and to practice the procedure for analyzing dilemmas related to drug use. Summary of the issue of Juuling
Juuling is a two novel nicotine product that is abused through smoking the juuling
substance. Smoking Juul has become a problem in many schools and colleges across the country.
Juul is addictive to its users because it provides flavored products (Linda M Gibson-Young &
Mary Martinasek, 2018). The flavored product in Juul substance lures the youth into using it
more often. Juul substance is different from cigarettes because it can be customized with designs.
The Juul substance can be customized to have an appearance of a flash drive. Customizing of
drug substances such as Juul is common among the youths. Customizing enables the youths to
hide the identity of the drug.
Health implication
Juul substance has various implications on the health of the abuser such as brain damage.
Juul contains harmful chemicals or potentially harmful chemicals such as nicotine. Harmful
chemicals such as nicotine cause damage to the developing brain (Turner, 2021). Juuling has
been associated with causing cancer; Juul substance has been identified to be a cancer-causing
agent. The Juul product causes respiratory irritants because of the organic compounds in the
