Introduction
With the growing number of working adults going back to college, there are some issues
that they must think about before attending. Unlike students that go to college straight from high
school. Adults have things like families, work, and social lives whereas younger students have
social events, studies, and spending time with friends. When adults think about going to school,
they need to figure out how they are going to balance the workload with everyday life
undertaking and the school work. Balancing work and school for an adult student can be hard at
times. Balancing the workload can help more than just as a student, but also the company that
employs them. So, it would benefit the company to aid the employee in balancing their
workload. The thesis statement is that working adults faces negative setbacks from going back to
school.

Family Life Issues
According to US department of education, there is an estimate that more than 14 million
students that are in college now are working adults with families (White, 2017). That means a lot
more people are going to school and having to take care of their family. Working adults have a
hard time when balancing school and work because of their families. It is not easy for a person to
work, study, and also take care of a family. For instance, when a person is in school and they
also have to take care of a sick child back home and have to complete all the work in the office
and assignments in school, it becomes tiresome. In the process of balancing one of the three
