An organizational structure involves grouping of people for work accomplishment. The
relationship between the workers and the managers is established through this organizational
structure and it also helps managers in giving them the authority to carry out responsibilities.
Small business owner chooses different kinds of configurations depending on the effect a
structure may have on work activities. To achieve goals and objectives of a business, there must
be interactions among departments and individuals.
Effects of organizational structure
In the functional organizational structure, things run in a predictable order because of the many
rules that exist. This function guide people on how to work together for instance sales people
work together on sales. In this structure, there is management control and rules that ensure
employees work within their line hence efficiency on the job but discourages creativity.
The second organizational structure is the team structure. This usually produces workplace that is
