Domains involved in child development as well as early learning are in distinct terms and
grouped in different forms. It is said that whatever a child has heard in the first six years of life
cannot be erased. Music is an important aspect of human development for they arouse every part
of child development and specifically in the cognitive, social-emotional as well as physical areas
of a child, music further helps the body and the mind to work concurrently.
Music affects the cognitive skills of a child in several ways. When a child begins to learn
problem-solving skills, the cognitive part of their thinking grows. Children can develop critical
thinking skills through music through their thinking children develop and choreograph
movements to music and this develops their spatial awareness. They can also create movements
and create their movements to fit the music and the space created. In addition, music and
movement help to develop memory skills as well as attention span for children. The brain can
learn best when it concreate, and in the involvement of social engagements, movement
interactions with environment, and emotions (Hilliard, 2021). If a child learns a new song as well
