Probation officers
Probation officers include people bestowed the duties of managing offenders, with the
goal of protecting the public and lessen the recurrence of offenses. The probation officers begin
working with the offenders while they attend courts, whenever they go to custody and in the
community making it safe for the people to interaction with them and prevent the occurrence of
criminal acts by the same people. Probation officers perform the ultimate duty of working with
offenders making sure that the entire community remains safe.
Pogrebin, (2013) argued that probation officers interact with people from different
environments including victims, offenders, prison warders, police and ultimately the offenders
on a regular basis. They not only keep in touch with the people but also relate well with the
associated agencies and statutory bodies. The probation officers manage and guard the homes
exclusively designated for ex-prisoners and him offenders.
Pogrebin, (2013) argued that the officers engage and manage the status of community
orders, which act as alternative prison orders. The offenders perform community work in various
forms including community payback, during which the prisoner performs community service
