their job performance. Motivation through both extrinsic and intrinsic factors directly translates
to an improvement in the job performance of the employees. In addition to this, the application
of equity, expectancy and Maslow theories can be important in positively influencing the
employee performance in the workplace since they are critical motivating factors.
An extrinsic form of motivation involves managers using incentives like money, benefits,
