Social movements are created to help advocate certain things that affect a particular
group of people. For example, a social movement can be formed to advocate for the political
rights of women in a setup where men are dominant. In addition, some social movements
might be created to advocate for justice for a particular group of people such as the black
Americans from harassment by police officers. However, social movements go through
various stages during their lifetime. They start with a small number of people and therefore
become ignored because people do not know what they stand for. However, they may
