  1. Briefly, in one or two paragraphs, summarize the main events or issues in your article. Clarify how the event or issue connects to this course.
  2. Compare and contrast how minority and dominant groups are portrayed in your chosen media article or program. DIVERSITY IN MEDIA: RACE AND ETHNICITY
Summary
This paper will discuss "Race and Ethnicity", an article published by New York Times
that includes commentary and archival details touching on race and ethnicity. The article that is
carried in both print and online media highlight and discuss events that touch on race, color, and
ethnicity and how these events affect different individuals in different walks of life (Fausset, et
al., 2017). The article identifies the plight faced by the people of color, who the society perceives
as less superior. It goes ahead to criticize the manner in which these individuals are treated in the
society.
The article speaks strongly against those who propagate negative ethnicity and emphasize
the need to promote positive ethnicity. The article also highlights major events that promote
racial and ethnic integration and benefits of racial and ethnic cultural diversity. The United States
workforce and its economic strength are dependent on the racial and cultural diversity and the
article discusses the need for integration between the whites and the people of color (Fausset, et
al., 2017). The media house has gone further ahead to employ journalists drawn from various
racial and ethnic backgrounds in order to foster integration among its workforce.
