The covenants are Mosaic, Davidic, Noahic, Abrahamic and the New Covenant. These
covenants act as the stepping stone throughout the way. They are also referred to as Divine
covenants. The Noahic covenant is recorded in the book of Genesis in chapters 6, 7 and 8.It was
a one-way, unilateral and an unconditional covenant. The covenant was everlasting, its sign was
rainbow and it was affected by floods. Its purpose was to secure the world and renew things after
the sinful events of man. The climax of this covenant would be administered by Christ in the
Millennial Kingdom (Carr and Conway,35).
The Abrahamic covenant found in Genesis chapters 12, 15, 17 and 22 was an everlasting
covenant. It was a royal grant, unilateral, one-way and an unconditional covenant. Its symbol
was the circumcision and it was made between God and Abraham and his descendants. Its
importance was to secure Abraham's generation that they may enjoy the land of God’s blessings.
Its climax is yet but it will come to pass after Jesus’ second coming (Luke: 1, Rom: 4). The other
