Question 1: Balance between Liberty Values and Stability in American Society: a
Constitutional Perspective
The right to freedom cannot be altered. It is an aspect of the human condition that is
unalterable. The political and personal obligation of the ancestor or the parent cannot be
legitimately forced on anyone; that is the understanding of the central idea of liberty. This right
to liberty also encompasses the right to personal freedom. That person should be free to think,
act, to believe and to worship without the interference of the government. The right to liberty
also includes the right to political freedom. It states that an individual is free to elect the
government that they wish to govern him or her. People have the right to partake liberally in an
administrative procedure. The citizens have the right to think, to debate and the right to have
meetings. The right to liberty also enshrines the right to transfer, utilize, dispose and acquire
private property without the interference of the government of the day. Individuals have the right
to be employed wherever they want. A citizen has the right to engage in the legitimate economic
activity and to change his or her employment at will.
Liberty and equality represent the primary democratic political systems fundamental
values including that of the United States of America. Emperors and monarchs rules have always
brought peace but at the expense of the peoples' freedom. The values of democracy support the
belief that an orderly society can only exist when there is the preservation of liberty. However,
this liberty and order ought to be balanced.
The American government has had its route on the 17th as well as the 18th century's
Enlightenment in Europe. This movement is known to have questioned the monarch rule that

was traditional. The enlightenment movement opposed the idea of people being ruled.
Philosophers affiliated with the education movement acknowledged the significance of having
order. These philosophers were also driven by the medieval time's chaos. Different nations
