Tuberculosis (TB) is a major malady affecting the lungs with the bacteria that causes TB
been able to spread from one person to another through body fluids that are released into the air
when an individual with TB sneezes or coughs.

Tuberculosis TB results due to the

Mycobacterium tuberculosis that in the air which floats in the air in case of a Person with TB
talks; spits coughs laughs or sneezes. TB is most contagious when living with an individual who
is not receiving medication. People who have been on medication for more than two weeks are
not contagious.

There are two different stages of TB. The latent TB and the Active TB. The latent TB is
where the individual has the TB infection, but the bacteria in the body is inactive and with no
unusual symptoms. At this stage, the TB cannot be spread, and treatment is important to prevent
it from spreading. The active TB is the scene which makes the individual sick and can spread to
others very fast. During this stage the bacteria is active, and symptoms are clearly. Some of the
common symptoms of tuberculosis include fever, night sweats, loss weight, chills, coughing,
and blood or mucus might be present and also the loss of appetite (Mayo clinic, 2017)

The disease does not affect the lungs alone. Other body parts such as bones can be
affected which can lead to joint destruction and pain in the spine. TB can also affect the brain
causing meningitis. Tuberculosis can also affect the kidneys and the liver hence affecting the
filtrations processes in the body which can lead to the presence of blood in the urine. TB that
