Understanding the Concepts of Religion: Christianity
Introduction
The view and concept of Christianity have taken different accounts but still remain
attached to the core principle of God, Man, God’s work and Man’s response. The nature of God
cannot be determined by Man and as such Scott connotes the right approach where the
anticipative activity of God is seen in a number of ways and sovereign (Scott, 2006). Even so,
Lawrence (2014) points out that Christianity in general is a kind, hinest thoughtful religion and
more so , compassionate and honorable if not loving. These fundamental traits are instilled in
believers through the teachings of the law and through the different founding concepts of the
religion. In debarking common stereotypes, Barker (2007) examines the growth of church bodies
and the spread of the Christian concepts over the years. The moral ethical and spiritual spheres of
the Christian religion are aligned and shaped by these concepts. Hachette (n.d) talks of the
concept of Salvation, God’s Nature, creation, Jesus Christ, and eschatological beliefs.

definitive evaluation of the impact of these concepts in the lives of individual believers as
appertaining to Christianity. Therefore, this paper evaluates three concepts of Christianity and
discusses the influences in the worldview and the life of a believer.
