Introduction
As the web became more advanced, implementing “third-party” sites, as advertisers, to
provide service to “first-party” sites accessed by internet users, has grown progressively. As a
result, third party websites expanded from taking place as an interface where ads are delivered
only on the basis of the first-party site that a user has accessed, to advertisers that track and “record”
internet user’s practices and behavior across first-party sites to arrange and compose a “profile” of
his or her daily activities, relations, character and interests.
An immense revolution of data collection has been imposed on a world where the internet
is often considered a huge repository of information. The potential of information access and privacy
intrusion is quite easy that individuals, businesses, and governments can effortlessly get there.
