Due to the increased of various crimes on social media, the government implemented a
law, aiming to protect people against computers and internet related crimes such as
cybersquatting, cybersex, identity theft, child pornography, and different kind of scammers. This
law is called "Cyber Crime Prevention Act of 2012 or Republic Act No. 10175. California Penal
Code 647 (j) (4) (A) and 647 (j) (4) (B), these two states laws clearly prohibited cyber
exploitation.
Several studies and organizations expressed out their thoughts and experiences about
several crimes happened on social media. Americans provide their efforts in dealing with internet
crime on social media, in order to develop the law of Cyber Crime Prevention Act No. 10175,
(MEHRA, 2010), and encouraging an individual to cooperate this prevention especially the
students to avoid entering to the confusing sites that have covered by several scammers. Also,
there are hackings happened in various computers and even professional accounts and
governments, and to prevent this, (Lee, 2014), Aaron Law's was proposed in the United States,
(Oh, 2014), as intended amendment to the Abused Act (CFAA) and Computer fraud. The
number of crimes on social media was spread out all over the world, even in the Philippines,
there almost more than 1.5 million people cybercrime victims each day, (Santos, 2012). In order
to control and to prevent these issues and crimes, (Gemora, 2012), the Cyber Crime Prevention
Act of 2012 was implemented in order to protect people against scammers, illegal transactions
on social media, and different crimes related to this. Two laws were also implemented by states,
to protect people against cyber exploitation.
In this article and related research, the increasing of various crimes on social media have
brought into different issues and problems. Computer crime continues to climb worldwide. Each
day, cybercriminals actively find creative ways to access various financial information, shut
down the corporate computer system, commit identity theft, child pornography, steal intellectual
properties, and programming disruptive viruses. These crimes has involved both software and
hardware. They have used the computers to steal data, hardware, and viruses. The cybersquatting
