There is a table with Gender, Cats, Dogs, Other pets, Total. I'm supposed to find the probabilities that a randomly chosen person has the following characteristics: P(F&C), P(F&O), P(M&C), and P(M&O). I don't know where to begin. Help!

there are total of 4 things on table = gender . cats . dogs and other pet

so, P(F&C) means probability of female with cats characteristics
so, probability of choosing a female is 1 out of two.( male or female)  = 1/2
and having a cat characteristic is 1 out of 3( cat , dog and other pets) = 1/3

so, P(F&C) = 1/2 * 1/3 = 1/6

hope this helps.
