Pythagoras Theorem:

Hypotenuse^2= sum of the squares of the other two sides

In this question we know the other two sides and would be finding the hypotenuse

Therefore

H^2=18^2+24^2

H^2=900

H= square root of 900

Hypotenuse = 30 cm
