The ratio is √3 : 2

Hypotenuse = 8*2 =16

Area of one equilateral triangle √3/4 * 16^{2} = √3*256

Area of hexagon = √3 *256*6 = √3*156

6√3 is the radius = equal to side

Area of one equilateral triangle = √3/4 * 36*3 = √3*27

Area of hexagon = √3*27*6 = √3*162
