Introduction
Staffing can be defined as the active procedure or process of pulling, selecting and getting
hold of the top notch talent in certain field to complete authoritative tasks. Each and every
organization often has its own unique way of guiding the staffing process many of them having a
well pre-defined system for the same. It is through these systems that organizations have the
capacity to make differences in their human capital and general differences in the organization. In
general, today the ways of work have greatly changed and as a result affected the staffing process
creating many new hurdles. Work places are requiring most skilled/ specialized skills while
setbacks in worldwide developments are making it difficult of job seekers to get the right
opportunities.
Today’s workforce for example is increasingly diversifying and differing over time. A
study involving 33,000 executives spread over 32 different countries gave a very interesting
discovery, 40% of them admitted that staffing was getting more and more challenging by the day.
Discovering and maintaining high-notch talent being the most prevalent issue (Manpower Inc.,
2006). On the same study 90% of the 7000 administrators involved in the study confessed that
discovering and maintaining top-notch talent was becoming more and more troublesome (Welsh,
Handfied-Jones and Axelrod, 2001). The Expressed difficulty is most likely going to convince
anybody that business leaders today use staffing as the most important key in improving
businesses. Since the ability to discover and maintain top-notch talent is a rare commodity,
companies that do have this privilege need to completely outflank those that do not (Barney and
Wright, 1998). Another study that conducted by Reynes, Brown and Colbert (2000) however
brings in a shocking revelation where the biggest contrasts were discovered between the scholastic
explanations and the deep convictions of chiefs. It therefore means that albeit staffing method

should stand out as one of the most crucial systems for achieving a game change. Authoritative
business leaders however do not understand the staffing and how to exploit it fully.
The most important reason for this audit is to give a specific rundown of the crucial
advancements in the staffing process. In order to do so, some research will be done on the areas of
enrolment as well as faculty choice norms while the developments in the enlistment itself will be
seen alongside all the best practices. Multi-layer staffing will then be investigated and understood
hence give the suggestion of how to best associate it with individual staffing within the
organization.
