No. Appeasement was a strategy used in 1938 by Britain’s Prime Minister Chamberlain with the hope
that negotiations with Germany would lead them to cease the use of aggressive approaches and restore
peace in the regions. This, however, did not work well as it led to the pampering of Hitler’s ego. This is
seen in the increased aggression that Germany displayed towards Czechoslovakia in 1938 following a
meeting with chamberlain. Hitler makes greater demands that Czechoslovakia should be completely
broken or war ensue. Later Sudetenland is annexed and Czechoslovakia is weakened. In March 1939,
troops of Hitler finish their conquest over Czechoslovakia without any resistance. Hitler considered the
pro-appeasement leaders as cowards and below average leaders as seen in His speech in august 1939. A
