Question 1 ( answer 150 words )
which companyCompanies set good examples Of Extended producer responsibility (EPR) ? How can we promote EPR ?
There are companies that promote and participate in Extended Producer Responsibility. While there are many different examples, one of the most well-known is Patagonia. Part of Patagonia's brand and mission is being sustainable, and they prove this with their actions. They currently are using over 50% recycled material in the construction of their clothes/garments, as well as vowing to be carbon neutral across their entire supply chain by 2025. EPR can be promoted either through social pressure, lawful pressure, or voluntarily. Some states, including California, have passed laws to enforce EPR onto companies, by making them financially responsible for recycling packaging to producers. Is it a good idea to have the government enforce laws like this? Should it be done on a federal or state level? How can citizens promote and support companies that voluntarily participate in EPR? Discuss.

I think it’s a good idea for the government to enforce laws like Extended Producer
Responsibility. Many companies may not have enough responsibility if there are no laws to
protect the ecosystems. The laws can effectively improve the utilization of resources and reduce
the waste of resources during production. While some companies might be socially responsible
for their resources such as Patagonia's brand, unlikely, some other companies may need to be
forced so they can have enough responsibility. Enforcing the law on EPR would ensure
manufacturers of the product are responsible for their ultimate recycling and disposal. This can
