China’s online food delivery market shows promising prospects
China's online food delivery market shows promising prospects - People's Daily Online.
The Chinese online food delivery market has seen an expansion and growth in the
sector, with more Chinese people opting to use online food delivery services. By June 2021,
there was an estimated 469 million people had ordered their food through online markets. The
online market in China has been an influence on another market in the country. Food is not
the only commodity that is exchanged through online delivery means. Other products are also
being bought through online means. Reports from China have shown that online shopping has
transactions that have increased more than 140% from the previous year. Records from
Chinese food delivery services such as Eleme and Instant Shopping have shown that Chinese
people use their services to order food and use the services to order their medication and other
items (Jun, 2021).
These platforms have, in turn, provided digital tools for self-employed and medium
business owners to increase the efficiency of their businesses. There have been testimonials
from various individuals who have benefited from these platforms. Many of them tell how
their businesses have grown and improved after the platforms were established. In Zhejiang
province, a digital regulation system for online food delivery has been implemented to
facilitate online food ordering and delivery. This system will make it easy for Chinses people
in Zhejiang province to enjoy the services (Jun, 2021).
The online food delivery market in China has played a major role in transforming
major Chinses markets, making it easy for the Chinese to have access to markets other than
the food industry. Restaurants throughout the country have joined the system, and they have
some of their food delivered to customers to their homes. The system is also a good way of
gathering data on online markets in the country (Jun, 2021)

My news board 4
In this discussion on business marketing, I chose the newspaper named Miamis
Community News. I found the latest news article in this newspaper regarding email
marketing. I will discuss the main points of the article, and I will assess how the information
in this article can be related to what is actually happening in the world. One example is taken
from the article "Is email marketing dead?" written by (Llinas, 2021). And the second
example is taken from a website named Campaign Monitor. The article named "Why
Marketers Need to Stop Saying "Email Marketing Is Dead"" written by (Westbrook, 2018).
The discussion will include whether email marketing has died or not.
In the first article, the author has raised the question that Is email marketing dead? The
article written by (Llinas 2021) discussed that the days had passed when the marketers used
the chat or email threads to communicate with the customers. There are now new types of
mediums such as text messaging, SEO, and social media platforms. The marketers now
communicate with the customers via using social media platforms. But still, some brands send
emails, and it is still a question whether the marketing through email has ended. The article is
taken from a local newspaper in the US, and thus it shows that this question is also raised for
the US market. There are many local and international US companies that use email
marketing, but now they are also moving towards SEO and social media marketing. The
author of this article said that businesses need to know where the customers are spending most
of their time and then target them. The older generations were using emails, but the
millennials and Gen Z looked towards social media platforms. The author added that email
marketing is beneficial when a large number of files are to be shared with the customers or
suppliers etc. There are many large retailers that still use email marketing, social media
platforms are used for advertisements of products and services, and text messaging services
are used to send coupon codes and deals to the customers. The article concluded that email
marketing is still not dead completely (Llinas, 2021).
The second article includes the information regarding why marketers need to stop
saying that email marketing is dead. In this article, the author has used an interesting approach
by saying that with the passing of time, the upcoming technologies are killing the previous
ones. The death toll of the digital marketing channels is on continue whenever new tools are
introduced in the market. 59% of the marketers said that email marketing is on top of ROI
generating marketing method. Email marketing is not dead, most businesses prefer the use of
email marketing because it provides them with various features. Therefore, it can be
concluded that email marketing has not died, and still, it is used by many companies or brands
along with other marketing channels such as text messages and social media marketing. Still,
the companies can reach more people through brands (Westbrook, 2018).

Amazon faces lawsuit from big companies like L'Oreal and Heineken.
The bulk of the complaints rest on the terms of thier contract with
Amazon, which violate the French code of commerce. The goal is to
regulate reltions between brands. One major burden is when customers
don't pay, it falls on the supplier. Amazon is trying to get their Europe
distributor to deal with the law suit. This is ont major problem in the
market, when countries go international.
France seeks to stop fashion brands from destroying unsold goods
May 15, 2019
https://www.businessoffashion.com/articles/news-analysis/franceseeks-to-stop-fashion-brands-from-destroying-unsold-goods
France is trying to take an aim at the fashion industry's heavy
environmental foot print to stop detroying unsold items. This is a big
problem with luxury brands, they would rather burn or bury the items
in a landfill than risk selling damaged items and hurt their brand image.
The French governement is trying to handle this at an industry level
and the government plans to pursue a ban.

Sicne the distribution sector includes all supplying goos and service to
consumers, retail distibution is an important and competitive sectore in
France. This is why it is harder for U.S. SMEs to get into the French
market, because it is highly concentrated with French global
manufacturers/suppliers have strong control over the retail networks.
Due to this, many wholesale/retail outlets are disappearing rapidly and
