Control Function Analysis
After strategies have been set and plan as well made, the primary task of management is
taking steps that will ensure that the plans have been carried out; the conditions have been
warranted, for the plan to be able to be modified. It becomes management's critical control
function. Making sure that other people have done exactly what has to be done is control
function major part since management get involved in directing others activities. Management
literature is usually made up of advices that reflect on ways of achieving better control (Sessa,
2015). This form of advice includes measurement and feedback type of description process:


Basic type of control process, based on where it is found and what it is found in and
what it actually controls, involving the major steps: The standards establishment,
performance measures against standards and deviation correction from the plans and
standards.



Good management control system does stimulate actions by significantly spotting the
variations from the actual plan and to highlight them to the people who are capable of

The current economic downturn sees the importance of keeping employees motivated
because as companies are reducing their employee’s needs the workforce towards working at
their optimal levels that will ensure productivity increase and profitability. It is important for
management now more than ever to be proactive and to make sure they have the rightful

strategies (Pinder, 2014).
Communication- is very important during the unsettled times, and leaders have to
communicate frequently with employees on the organization future and present vision, the ways
the company intends on reaching its new strategies direction, the ways through which the
organization will end up redefining itself so as to be able to sustain its revenues at its downturn,
its rationale behind any sort of restructuring, the ways in which employee’s responsibilities and
roles will add to the success of the organization. Employees do appreciate being in the know and
as a result, they will be able to contribute to the future success and the improvements. Fears are
alleviated once they have understood the reasoning that is behind the decisions and the other
thing being that their energy will have been channeled towards helping the organization reaching
its set goals.
